Details of the Poultry Houses

We propose using EPS Light Steel Structures as these are competitively priced and are of a superior quality. The house is supplied as a complete kit which include the structure, heating and cooling-systems, feeding systems, drinking systems, egg removal and manure removal systems, these are shipped in containers and then are erected and the systems installed, utilizing local labour which further leads to cost savings as well as job creation in the local community. Consisting of a bolt together pre-fabricated light steel frame and covered with EPS (Expanded Polystyrene or known as "ISO-Panels") panels, this unique design offers a completely sealed unit that is well insulated at costs lower than any other portal frame or built structure. Furthermore EPS structures are also regarded as an Environmentally Friendly structure.

Advantages of the EPS structures:
  1. Built-in heat- and sound-insulation comes standard.
  2. Dustproof Structures.
  3. Easy to install.
  4. No heavy machinery or tools required during erection.
  5. Extremely cost effective.
  6. Modular, easy to extend.
  7. Pre-Painted and galvanized.
  8. Flexible design that allows for fitment of windows and doors were required.

The Steel and EPS Structure can be erected on a concrete foundation with a footing of 220mm high built out of M6 blocks filled with concrete. This prevents corrosion of the EPS panels as they do not touch the floor of the house, alternatively they can be placed straight onto your floor if you have a raised concrete slab. All panels are 75mm Expanded Polystyrene centers covered with Galvanized (13 Micron) and Double Painted Steel sheets. Wall panels have flat surface whereas roof panels have a ridged roofing finish, on which Solar PV panels are fitted.

Environmentally Controlled Poultry House
We aim to utilise the unique EPS Structure standard environmentally controlled and open sided broiler house kits, which comes in in complete packages that include all equipment and structural consumables, and place Solar PV panels facing the sun on the roof.

Advantages of our EPS Environmentally Controlled Broiler Houses:
  1. Increased food conversion. (As low as 1:1.5 reported by some farmers.)
  2. Decreased mortality. (Averages of well under 5% are common.)
  3. Pre-manufactured - Easy to assemble.
  4. Massive heating cost savings.
  5. Less management and labour requirements.
  6. Healthier livestock, less decease.

brochure farm EPS may mean Expanded Polystyrene but it also stands for the three things which are crucial to modern construction - Economy, Performance and Sustainability.
It uses, as its base material, styrene monomer, which is a by-product of petroleum and naphtha produced during oil refining which provides a ready and continuous source. Styrene also occurs naturally in many foods such as strawberries, coffee beans, beer and wine. Polystyrene is produced when the styrene monomer is polymerised into long chains. A gas called pentane is used as a non-CFC expansion agent to blow polystyrene into its final lightweight, expanded cellular form. Pentane has low volatility. EPS has been made for more than half a century and the processes include a combination of heat and pressure utilising clean technologies and minimising energy inputs and water usage through closed loop energy recycling. For all of these reasons, EPS manufacture is a highly efficient process. No solid waste is created and process waste and off-cuts are reintroduced to the production batch immediately. Atmospheric and land/water emissions are strictly controlled, resulting in minimal localised impacts.
On the basis of current EU testing and classification regimes, styrene monomer is non-toxic in all normal usage and is not classified in terms of carcinogenicity or mutagenicity. Pentane has no potential to harm the ozone layer unlike CFCs or HCFCs.
